The Saga of The Rear Hub Wheel

After blowing a 1500w KT speed controller, and refitting a new speed controller (KT copy bought as original KT), the bike once again had power to the motor.

The wheel sounded fine when spinning off the ground. When riding which put the wheel under load, we discovered the wheel was making a grinding sound. We decided to order a new 29" rear wheel hub.

The story after is all explained below

At this point it was decided to buy the full kit to get the job done.

Messages sent via Alibaba express do not allow the word "Whatsapp" or other messenger trade names. and a rejected. communication outside of Alibaba express's messaging is outside of there policy.

 

Below is the email i sent to the managing director

Hi,

After being told you do not sell single hubs and wheels, i ordered a complete kit, then i received an email saying you do not have them in stock and asked me if i would wait 30 days before you have a delivery. my answer is cateogetory no as it it a pre-order.

I have been given 3 whatssapp numbers to contact other persons from your company along with the alixpress mesaging. when i contacted the whatsapp numbers only one is real and there has been no reply from the one that is real, and messages have been unread.

I have contacted the managing director via email also to find out what the situation is, i have been waiting for over 48hrs for reply.

I now have no option to pass this issue forward to paypal for a refund.

You do not have what i wanted in stock, although allowing me to place an order on aliexpress, and then asking me me if i would wait 30 days for your delivery and the delivery time from yourself. i consider that alowing me to purchase a product, giving me the idea that you have the items in stock and that you do not, is a fradulent action.

Considering the hardships of the current world situation, if you can not resolve this issue i would expecpt a refund by midday uk. i feel i am being resonable as you have sold me the goods by false pretences.

We now have a batch of goods at sea and will be arrive to Spain in 25-30 days, but now due to the COV-19 and Brexit, our logistics system cannot deliver to you temporarily. So we regret to ask you to cancel the order first. If the goods can be delivered to the UK later, I will tell you as soon as possible and give you a resonable discount. The reason for the cancellation you applied, I cannot pass the application according to the regulations of the company, so I hope you can help change the reason for cancellation to "other reasons". Order was placed as delivery from china to UK as potage from Spain was not available, it did not say unable to post from China to UK, and allowed me to place the order.

I just like to mention to this point all seems to be going well. and seems a understanding that they are not going to deliver to the united kingdom. however i was quite shocked that they were suggesting that i pick the item up from a friend in spain or germany.

I really wanted to inform them that the United Kingdom after Brexit that the UK does not have any friends in Europe.

 

The above message was result of me choosing "Seller cannot ship item".

After this message i spoke with paypal, to step in, as it seemed to me that they were asking me to choose an option that would be in their favour, and did not seem honest to do so. I asked paypal to open a dispute, and they have 2 days to respond (3 days from alibexpress side).

This section is where Jules took over from Mario (who left the company), then the last part is were another staff member replyed because Jules left the company.

On the 29th August 2021 we contacted alibaba express via online chat.

Below is a copy of the text they sent us, this is a reply to me, as i asked if there was a case number and what would happen.

Yes, 1145005990261868. And I will make sure that everything that we talked about is fully noted on top of your account.

Since you have provided evidence of the product problem and the seller never helped at all, what I will do for you is to file the full refund request for you to get your money back.

I hope you understand that AliExpress is a platform and we do not have the item to resend to you since it is the seller who is selling it. That is why for not working products, what we can do is refund the money back.

All right, I have successfully submitted the request for the refunds back for this order for you.

You will receive email within the 3-5 days about your refunds back.

This never happened

On the 27th of October the bank which was used to issue the payment was contacted.

After a wait on the phone, we managed to speak to a representative from the bank.

After a relatively short time with the representive , we acheived a satisfactory result in the payment to aliexpress being refunded to the bank.
