This website was set up to be a portal for many people from many different walks of life to connect on a level playing field. Our aim is to provide information and resources to people or groups, to form a network of people who by assisting themselves also assist others by doing so.<\/span><\/p>\n

We have build a shop within this site to provide all the raw materials and equipment you will need to make your own products using the online calculators. We have priced the items in the shop at the price we get them plus any fees and packaging. The more stock we get, the lower we can price the items.<\/span><\/p>\n

We offer memberships which will allow you to see many areas on the website. The member pages will give you access to pages that will allow you to make your own products for your own personal use. <\/span><\/p>\n

Full membership is for 12 months for those who can afford it and wish to contribute to our projects as well as get access to more resources on the website. Occasionally we will send samples out to our members so you can contribute to the research.<\/span><\/p>\n

We also have a medical membership which is 40 Euros for 4 months membership. This membership is at a discount price and we ask that you use the feedback form from 30 to 90 days of starting a membership, once feedback is received we will renew your 4 month membership up to a total of 12 months.<\/span><\/p>\n

Any medical member will automatically be ended if no feedback is provided within the stated period will, to renew membership you will be required to subscribe for the 12 month membership.<\/span><\/p>\n

As we go along we will be providing more information and raw materials as we build the website and community.<\/span><\/p>\n

The aim of bob's backyard is to link individuals, schools and organizations with projects in our developing word sharing and developing the technique makes a difference where it is needed most. Bob's Backyard introduced aquaponics to the UK schools curriculum in conjunction with one of the largest hydroponics suppliers in the UK.<\/span>

23rd April, 2011\u00a0- Ashton Allotment Action Started.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Restoring Ashton-Under-Lyne Allotments.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

On St. George's Day, Saturday 23rd April, 2011 we started a Green revolution in Ashton-Under-Lyne, Tameside, in the tradition of English radical group The diggers who during the period of the English Commonwealth, in 1649 reclaimed the common land of St. George's Hill from the Lords of the Manor by digging and cultivating it.<\/span><\/p>\n

After years of delay by Tameside Council prospective allotment holders in Ashton have now organized ourselves to take over control of the land on Ashton Moss that had been allocated for the replacement allotments, supported by sympathetic volunteers we came together in a day of action to reclaim the allotments from Cordingleys who have neglected and mismanaged the land.<\/span><\/p>\n
