Land, as you can see its a jungle out there!
towering above the undergrowth are graceful Cardoons and majestic onions which have gone to seed, we will cut the flower heads off to collect the seed....And so it begins one man and his strimmer ! Matt had it tamed in quick time no problem at all !

When herbs go wild ! - Observations from the garden
Our herb beds are massively overgrown, we have parsley gone to seed, which we will collect if we are able, marjoram, thyme and rosemary plants. These are growing fine but may need a little trim back, we need to trim the thyme back with a gentle hand but with the others we can prune back a little harder.
A monster Swiss chard which has gone to seed, so we will also collect these if possible, we have low growing red stems with small leaf growth which is also Swiss chard.... we will pull it up as it has gone very leggy also gone to seed, we can also see a few visiting wild flowers which have beautiful big brown domed seed heads.
Good water management is imperative, inspection of the water butt revealed some unexpected growth....nature can not be stopped! plants wont grow where you want them to and will often grow where you dont want them to!
High noon after 5 hours work outside and the path is now clear, we have also been making space inside.

Water leaks and electrical faults are killers on the loose, with no water the plants will never make in under the Spanish sun. No earth on the plug and we will not make it ....

After a long day making space we are planning to start taking the building down next week. Today however we had some barrels to decant....
2 years ago I make Real American moonshine, made in Spain, in French oak barrels, on a Russian still, via a English parrot with my 6 month old son Logen we put it in 3 15 litre oak barrels.
Oak gives age as well as flavour take 3 to 4 years in a standard 200L barrel, 15L barrels will take from 12 to 17 months this is due to the surface area. So Logen`s Run is now over 5 years old.
The ageing come from the ethanol evaporating 2.4% from the barrel every year call the angles share this means that the % of the ethanol will also drop a little. we barrelled at 47.5% and 55% 71.25 and 82.5 UK proof or 95 and 110 USA proof after the angles had there bit we are got just over 23 lts.
I don't drink so if your on our way back to the UK and would like to try let us know we try and drop you some off the rest will be on the bar at my wedding along with a few other bits I got around the place.
Popcorn Bobs special wedding whisky
After a total cockup on the website tracking Robohippy has been working all day today putting right his cockup... the update page should be ready to night or tomorrow morning thanks to Nyrees Titchener.
Getting the crew together this morning and putting things in order in the UK, we all make mistakes its part of learning as long as we don't keep repeating them and expecting it to turn out different.
Thanks again everyone for being you
