Hemp Mash MK4

175L Batch

Milled Hemp Seed 55% = 21.340 Kg (3 x 7.113Kg)
Barley 15% = 5.240Kg (3 x 1.746Kg)
Corn 25% = 12.220Kg (3 x 4.073Kg)
111g per Litre of water

Water 175 Litre
Sugar 42Kg to brix 35 max  (3 x 14Kg)
Gozdawa 1410 yeast 700g (4g per Litre)
Glucoamylase 14g (3 x 4.66g)
Alpha amylase 14g (3 x 4.66g)

May 21th 2018 7am I put water on to boil

70 Litres of boiling water ..     105 Litres of cold water

Will have to make in 3 batches of  23.33 L

Bring 70 Litre of water to a boil

Add cracked corn and hemp
simmer and Stir for 30 to 60 minutes.
Turn off heat

Brix 5° - Specific Gravity 1.0197 - ABV 2.5%

Let cool to 68.33°C (63.5°C) then add the barley.
Stir for around 45 to 90 minutes.

Heat if needed

Brix 7° - Specific Gravity 1.0277 - ABV 3.6%

Cover and let cool to 55-60°C
pH of 4.0 to 5.0
Add glucoamylase at 2g per 25L = 14g to 175 Litre
Stir for around 20 minutes.

Brix 11° - Specific Gravity 1.0442 - ABV 5.8%

Cover and let cool to
45 to 50°C and a pH of 4.5 5.5
Added alpha amylase at 2g per 25L = 14g to 175 Litre
Stir for 30 to 60 minutes.

Heat if needed

12.30pm 1st 23.3L went in the main barrel with 5L of water

02.15pm 2nd 23.3L went in the main barrel

04.15pm 3rd 23.3L went in the main barrel

Brix 4° - Specific Gravity 1.0157 - ABV 2.0%

Stir another 5 minutes

04.30pm add sugar 30Kg and water 105 Litres

Brix 24° - Specific Gravity 1.1011 - ABV 14.4%

04.15pm set heater cooler to 26.5°C +/- 0.5°C alarm set at 25.5°C and 27.5°C

At  26.5°C  pitch your yeast.

09.40pm 26.50°C and holding pitch the yeast in 5 litres of water at 26.5°C with 50g of sugar

Wait 20 minutes then stir gently to

10.00pm

Incorporate the yeast in to the hemp soup Wait 20 minutes

10.20pm

Turn on air line

10.28pm all done..... good night

22nd the 1st harvest

Mad science until it works...... the world's rarest... most expensive... hemp oil...

1200ml and the vacuum pump started smoking...  will need t make another harvest more to come

500ml was put on Face book 10 X 50ml bottles 5 sold within 12 hours for €4.50 pluss bottles labels and shipping... that works out at €90 per litre or about €135 return from the 220 litre barrel....
