Wednesday 8th July 2020

We awoke today to blue skies and yellow sun, shining over the orange and green landscape, no time to admire the view though, we have much work to do!

Such a great view to eat Pizza by eventually we may get time!

Taking evasive action!

Is this a world record...???
Out of 20 shot
17 dead
2 wounded
1 complete miss...
All house flies... Killed with the finest Himalayan salt... only the best will do

Plant highlighs today

In any system it is beneficial to make use of what is already onsite, we have alot of Aloe and so made use of them as edging for the paths, they also get used when making lotions and potions as they have some great properties for both health and skin

The Pepper plants are in their second year, we have lost a few through some parts of the irrigation system failing when we were away but after a prune back in February a number of them have put out some strong new growth.

There is no stopping a Bay tree once established!

INSIDE AND OUTSIDE

As within so without, progress is going well onsite however, its tough going in the midday sun, just taking out a screw leaves you needing a shower! Our working hours for the removal and shed are best kept to early mornings and late afternoons with a siesta in between, although its hard to rest when you have a job to do!

We made further progress on the extended roof which was used as a storage area is today

The beautiful supporting beams were collected from trees on site

The big blackboard used for working out formulas when performing Alchemey!

We picked up some storage boxes today to contiune packing up the lab equipment from the shed

We are storing all the lab equipment inside the house. With packing going to plan we are now starting to plan our return journey, we are thinking of visiting Rotterdam, France and Belgum. Can you help us plan our route? Suggest stop off points? Meet us en route? We are living in strange times so any information or advice you can give us on how things are in your part of the world would assist our travels through the Wastlands immensely and be much appreciated.

RABBIT TRAP

Those pesky rabbits!

Although cute any one thing dominating a system can cause it to fail, when we first moved on to the site it was over run with rabbits. They can help in a system to keep evasive native plants at bay and to add hummus to the rocky ground but they are not good if you are growing crops and so rabbits are trapped and released elsewhere in the surrounding Campo. Check out below what happened when we first got on site and reclaimed the land from the rabbits and see to see proof that rabbits definitely do not have each others backs!
